In 2018, the list of sources was refined to provide a more succinct resource. The criteria for inclusion on the refined bibliometric review were:

1. Reference has received ≥ 7 citations per year since publication, OR
2. Reference is specific to a low- or middle-income setting, OR
3. Reference is specific to HIV/TB costing OR
4. Reference doesn't satisfy the above criteria, but was determined to be an important resource by GHCC staff
